Malibu, California. The present. One hundred and twenty years after his death, Charles Darwin's hanging out in a beach house with a young woman, where he now prefers enjoying a fruit smoothie and a romance novel to a discussion with those squares at the Royal Society. But the famed naturalist's peace is disturbed when his old friend, biologist Thomas Huxley, washes up on the beach, followed by the Bishop of Oxford. Darwin suddenly finds himself entangled in a thought-provoking comedy about God, science and plastic surgery. Indra's Net Theater presents this production of the time-bending British comedy at Berkeley City Club.
