What You'll Get
The thrill of classic murder mysteries continues in this intrepid and suspenseful meta play that features Sherlock Holmes himself, but with a slight twist. In Post Mortem, the time is spring of 1922, and the cast of actor-playwright William Gillette's latest Broadway revival of Sherlock Holmes has come together to hang with the dead in a seance. With the right mood set, one of the cast members attempts to murder Gillette, who was also best known for his 30-year portrayal of the famous crime detective who defined murder mysteries, Sherlock Holmes. In order to stay afloat and alive, Gillette realizes he must embody the role and channel his inner detective to uncover whodunit. Post Mortem is hosted by Buena Park's Community Services and Fine Art Division at The Plaza at Ehlers Event Center.
