The city of Chicago developed along the banks of the Chicago River, and you'll learn all about it on this two-and-a-half-hour walking tour along the city's "Second Lakefront." Chicago's River Walk runs from Lake Shore Drive to Franklin Street and boasts lush green spaces, cafes, retail spaces and is a great place to sit back and relax or get a bite to eat. Today, the River Walk is comprised of the Confluence, Arcade, Civic, Cove, Marina, River Theater and Market districts. Be among the first to see and learn about the three newest rooms: Water Plaza, Jetty and Boardwalk. View the iconic buildings along the river as your tour guide thoughtfully reveals the stories of these structures and the fascinating characters that once occupied them. As a special treat, you'll finish the tour with a short boat ride along the Chicago River with fantastic views of the city's most iconic buildings.
