Le Salon de Musiques, one of L.A.'s true cultural jewels, is famed for providing up-close and personal musical performances in the warm, intimate -- and impressive -- environs of the fifth floor of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. The latest concert in this acclaimed chamber-music series features works for voice, strings and piano by Austrian greats Gustav Mahler and Franz Schubert, performed by baritone David Castillo, violinist Chiai Tajima, cellist Timothy Landauer and pianist Francois Chouchan. Musicologist Dr. Kristi Brown-Montesano provides the introductions and context, and after the concert, you're invited to join the musicians for a Q&A and reception featuring champagne and a high-tea buffet.
