No one escapes war unscathed. The Pulitzer Prize-nominated drama Elliot, a Soldier's Fugue traces the legacy of war through three generations of a Puerto Rican-American family. Nineteen-year-old Elliot Ortiz is a Marine just back from Iraq, whose tales of war and the pain of a leg wound weave with his father's stories of the Vietnam War, and of his grandfather's experiences in the Korean War. The result is a poetic and often funny theatrical experience that The New York Times called "a theater work that succeeds on every level, while creating something new." This evocative tale from Tony Award nominee Quiara Alegría Hudes (In the Heights, Water by the Spoonful) makes its way to the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City.
