Her day job may be battling zombies on The Walking Dead, but actress Danai Gurira also happens to be a Tony-nominated playwright (2016's Eclipse), whose 2015 work Familiar has been called "fiercely funny" by The New York Times. This inter-generational comedy finds a Minnesota bride wanting to observe a Zimbabwean tradition in honor of her heritage, which sets off a deep-rooted conflict with her immigrant parents.
