What You'll Get
Irish singer-songwriter Emmett Tinley leads a 10-piece chamber orchestra, a 12-voice choir, and actress-singer Cesili Williams in a performance of the music from Iceland, a contemporary opera he co-created with O-Lan Jones. Iceland's described as a love story between between a man and a woman who briefly meet at an airport in the Nordic country, and his journey to find her after she literally falls into a fantastic realm populated by the mythical Hiddenfolk of Icelandic lore. Check out this cutting-edge concert version under the stars at the Ford Amphitheatre.
The Ford is an outdoor venue and can get cold at night. Please plan accordingly. Additionally, it is a county park, so parking lots and the venue in general are located in hilly terrain. Comfortable shoes are recommended.
You are welcome to bring food and drink (beer and wine only) and picnic on our plaza or in your seats. Picnic tables are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please visit the Ford Amphitheatre websites for more info on directions, theater policies, parking and special services and food and dining.
