What You'll Get
A leader in contemporary dance, the always-enthralling Hubbard Street Dance Chicago presents four compelling works of dance that are as crisp as the fall air. Season 39 at Hubbard Street begins with two highly anticipated world premieres: Alejandro Cerrudo, creator of One Thousand Pieces, unveils his 15th original work as the company's Resident Choreographer, alongside a new work for Hubbard Street by Brian Brooks, Inaugural Choreographer-in-Residence at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance. Rounding out the Fall Series program are two contrasting ensemble works by Czech-born, Holland-based master choreographer Jirí Kylián: Sarabande (1990), set to Bach's second partita for solo violin, and Falling Angels (1989), set to Drumming by Steve Reich.
