What You'll Get
The San Diego Repertory Theatre continues to honor the Lipinsky Family SD Jewish Arts Festival with new work interpreted by celebrated theater composer Michael Roth. Combining musical theater staging with string quartet arrangements, Samuel Beckett's eloquent Imagination Dead Imagine narrates a journey through the mind and soul. The quartet approaches a mysterious white room with nothing but a laptop and music stands holding manuscripts that beg for attention. As the string quartet plays, they must also answer whether the figures confronting them are dead or alive. With work from a composer who has been described as "music one could imagine Charles Ives composing had he lived long enough to encounter rock-and-roll and beat poetry," Imagination Dead Imagine at the Lyceum stage is sure to enthrall and enchant. The tickets identified in this promotion are made available through Goldstar.
