What You'll Get
Baltimore Choral Arts performs Love & Destiny featuring works by Brahms and a piece that pays homage to the writings of Edgar Allan Poe. In collaboration with the Reading Symphony and conducted by its Music Director Andrew Constantine, the program features Dark Bells, a cantata inspired by Poe's brooding poetry. Written by the internationally-acclaimed and Baltimore-based composer Jonathan Leshnoff for orchestra, chorus and viola soloist, Dark Bells was commissioned by Baltimore Symphony violist Peter Minkler who will be the featured soloist. You'll also hear Vaughan Williams' lush Flos Campi, Brahms' Schicksalslied and his dramatic masterpiece, Tragic Overture. Following the concert, Baltimore Choral Arts Music Director Tom Hall will lead a discussion with the artists. The tickets identified in this promotion are made available through Goldstar.
