What You'll Get
Anna Ziegler's Boy explores the tricky terrain of finding love amidst the confusion of sexual identity, and the inextricable bond between doctor and patient. In the 1960s, a well-intentioned doctor convinces the parents of a male infant to raise their son as a girl after a botched medical procedure. Two decades later, the consequences of that choice continue to unfold. A story of the blinding power of love and the complicated mystery of one's perception of self, Boy is a moving and timely play that asks us to consider how we become who we are. Directed by Debbie Devine and starring Sarah Drew, Bobby Steggert, Amy Pietrz and Travis Johns, this L.A. Theatre Works production of Boy at The James Bridges Theater in Los Angeles is performed without sets or costumes for later broadcast on public radio nationwide.
The cast is subject to change.
