Favorites and firsts highlight the latest concert from the acclaimed new-music ensemble Boston Musica Viva at Cambridge's Pickman Hall. Soprano Barbara Kilduff, a Metropolitan Opera star, is set to take the stage with BMV for a performance of John Huggler's popular Bittere Nüsse (Bitter Nuts), as well as Luciano Berio's O King, an emotional tribute to Martin Luther King. Among the exciting new works, you'll be treated to a world premiere from Kathryn Salfelder, Disciples, commissioned by BMV and inspired by the Tao Te Ching, as well as Boston premieres of pieces by cutting-edge composers Erich Nathan and award-winner Mark Buller.
