What You'll Get
Tenor Daniel Rodriguez began his vocal training at an early age, and by the time he was 16 he was performing recitals in Carnegie Hall. But while singing was his hobby, Rodriguez's real passion was for public service, and at the age of 30 he joined the New York Police Department, where he came to be known as "The Singing Policeman." On September 11th, 2001, Officer Rodriguez was a first responder at the World Trade Center, where he nearly became a victim himself. At the "Prayer for America" ceremony at Yankee Stadium in the aftermath of the attacks, Rodriguez stirred hearts with his powerful rendition of "God Bless America." In the years since, Rodriguez has performed at numerous charitable and patriotic events, and now comes to the Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown for an inspiring concert on the 15th anniversary of 9/11.
