What You'll Get
The jam band known as Big Head Todd and the Monsters have been on the road with their signature blues-rock sound since their late-'80s debut, making waves with hits like "Bittersweet" and "Broken Hearted Savior" off their platinum-selling '93 album Sister Sweetly. Now they're teaming up at the Music Center at Strathmore with a trio of second generation blues stars, including Mud Morganfield (the eldest son of Muddy Waters), Grammy nominee Billy Branch, and Chicago bluesman Ronnie Baker Brooks, to salute one of the architects of early rock: Willie Dixon. A Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Dixon crafted the Chicago blues sound with some of his more than 500 songs, which include hits like "You Shook Me," "You Can't Judge a Book by the Cover," "Wang Dang Doodle," "Hoochie Coochie Man," "Bring It On Home" and so many more. He's been covered by everyone from Led Zeppelin to Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones, now you can see his music performed live in concert by Big Head Blues Club Featuring Big Head Todd and the Monsters. The tickets identified in this promotion are made available through Goldstar.
