What You'll Get
Give summer one final aloha this Labor Day weekend with the 22nd annual E Hula Mau festival. Returning to the Long Beach Performing Arts Center's Terrace Theater, this cultural gathering brings together Hawaiian-style dance schools, known as halau, from across the Southwest to compete in hula and chant contests over a three-day period. This historic competition is set to feature nine different troupes, from as far away as Las Vegas, that'll perform their always gorgeous traditional and contemporary routines before a prestigious panel that includes three hula judges, a Hawaiian language expert and even a lei specialist. There'll also be plenty of fun activities at the Polynesian Arts and Crafts Fair, plus informative Hawaiian workshops and delicious island dishes available for purchase.
