The acclaimed GLBTS mixed chorus known as the New Wave Singers of Baltimore wraps up its 30th-anniversary season with A Tapestry of Song, featuring a world-premiere work based on the poem "A Dream" by Maryland author Edgar Allan Poe. Led by Artistic Director Adam P. Koch, the choir's famed for its eclectic repertoire, which includes everything from madrigal to pop and classical to jazz, and for this spring concert at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, the 50-voice ensemble is set to sing upbeat pieces like the Celtic-influenced "RiverSong," and "The Awakening," an inspiring audience favorite, composed by Joseph M. Martin. A light reception follows the show.
