Prepare to be transported to Africa's diverse Nile River through the vibrant and joyful music of The Nile Project. Established in 2011 by Egyptian ethnomusicologist Mina Girgis and Ethiopian-American singer Meklit Hadero, The Nile Project is founded on the belief that music has the power to change perceptions and inspire action. The band's unique sound comes from intensive musical residencies, gathering the musicians together for weeks to learn from one another in a sonic think tank of sorts. The finished product is a concert filled with new musical works. When they gather at the Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale, you'll hear these talented musicians explore the importance of the world's waterways. The tickets identified in this promotion are made available through Goldstar.
