Russian pianist Alexander Sinchuk has an affinity for the darkly Romantic corners of the piano repertoire. He has won first prizes at the Rachmaninoff and Horowitz international competitions and performed all over the world giving recitals and master classes. Radio Russia says he is “a bright new phenomenon … distinguished by a particular, refined sound, vivid sparkling, characteristic sharp metric pulse, and elegant virtuosity.” His program will include Beethoven, Shubert, Liszt, Tchaikovsky/Pletnev, and Rachmainoff.
