Popa Chubby -- whose engagingly titled albums include The Good, the Bad and the Chubby, How'd a White Boy Get the Blues? and Electric Chubbyland -- may be known for his self-deprecating humor, but he's got some serious chops when it comes to the blues guitar. The Brooklyn native, whose real name is Theodore Joseph Horowitz, describes his own sound as hard-swinging blues rock, and he's proven it on more than 25 albums, including his 2016 disc The Catfish and the soon-to-be-released follow-up Two Dogs. His vocals growl and his Stratocaster sears on covers and originals, and you'll likely experience both when he and his band take the stage at the Music Box Supper Club in Cleveland.
