Ballethnic Dance Company's Urban Nutcracker is to Tchaikovsky's holiday classic what The Wiz was to The Wizard of Oz. Their soulful reinterpretation takes place on Atlanta's historic Sweet Auburn Avenue in the 1940s, with the elegant Brown Sugar being swept away to a magical land by the dashing Chocolatier. This whimsical Christmas Eve journey is filled with the spins and leaps of the Black Russian and the Reggae Rag Dolls. Ballethnic's creative spin on the traditional ballet will leave you with visions of Spice Drops dancing in your head. Catch holiday magic in the making at the Riverside EpiCenter in Austell.
