What You'll Get
The jam band known as Big Head Todd & the Monsters -- or BHTM (as their dedicated fans call them) -- have been on the road with their signature blues-rock sound since their late-'80s debut, making waves with hits "Bittersweet" and "Broken Hearted Savior" off their platinum-selling '93 album Sister Sweetly. Now they're teaming up at Crest Theatre in Sacramento with a trio of second-gen blues stars, including Mud Morganfield, Billy Branch and Ronnie Baker Brooks, to salute one of the architects of early rock, bluesman Willie Dixon. A Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Dixon crafted the Chicago blues sound with some of his more than 500 songs, which include hits like "You Shook Me," "You Can't Judge a Book by the Cover," "Hoochie Coochie Man," "Bring It On Home" and so many more.
