The Black Composer Speaks: Exhortation! features a world-premiere composition by acclaimed cellist Tomeka Reid and a free-jazz improv set led by legendary composer Kahil El' Zabar and his Ethnic Heritage Ensemble. Before music gets underway, catch a roundtable discussion on inclusion and access in new art music, led by Steve Bynum of WBEZ's Worldview, at 5:45pm at The Promontory in Chicago.
