From surrealism to absurdism to whateverism, the UNFringed Festival comes to New York's The Secret Theatre with a new batch of unhinged, unabashed and unbelievable plays. Gathering a wide range of artists, UNFringed unleashes daring new works that further push the boundaries of art and theater. This year's event features PANIC!, a historical drama that tells the tale of the Earl of Essex's harrowing rebellion against the Queen, A Kretuzer Sonata, a taut drama about a Jewish music student struggling with his faith and sexual advances from a female violinist, and New Dawn, a musical about a high school football captain who resorts to self-destructive methods of coping after his perfect life collapses around him.
