What You'll Get
Local heroes at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in the mid-'80s, The Clarks played cover songs on the college-town bar scene and house shows for a couple of bucks and the free beer. But the band's notoriety grew off the success of their indie-label records, eventually landing them a contract with MCA, a spot on Letterman and national tours. Their latest album Rewind takes the band back to their salad days with covers of R.E.M., the Replacements, and the Rolling Stones. Scott Kurt & Memphis 59 open the concert at the State Theatre.
