Tinseltown wouldn't exist if it weren’t for Jewish duo Sam Goldfish and Jesse L. Lasky’s first feature film. Since then, plenty of Jewish actors/actresses, writers, composers and directors have all contributed to Hollywood’s magic, so it’s it’s only fitting that these icons get their own special mazel tov! in The Jewish Oscars. In this special program, a cast of Broadway and nightclub singers perform the works of Alfred Newman, Randy Newman, Burt Bacharach, Hal David, Alan Menken, Marvin Hamlisch, Barbra Streisand and Stephen Sondheim.
