What You'll Get

Get into the Halloween spirit during this special screening of the iconic 1922 silent horror film Nosferatu featuring live chamber orchestra accompaniment. F.W. Murnau reinvents the story of Dracula as a silent German Expressionist fable, and the result is one of the greatest horror films ever made. Max Schreck is astonishingly creepy as the infamous vampire, and Murnau's frames ooze eerie atmosphere in this hugely influential tale. The original score's largely lost, so LA Opera recruited its own Matthew Aucoin to create a new score incorporating composers of Murnau's time, as well as new music composed by Aucoin himself. Experience the chills and thrills at one of Los Angeles' great 1920s movie palaces, the Theatre at Ace Hotel.
