Bay Area jazz legend Pete Escovedo comes to the UC Theatre in Berkeley for a concert featuring his sons Juan and Peter Michael. The master percussionist's music seamlessly flows among Latin jazz, salsa, funk and R&B styles. In addition to his many years as a bandleader, Pete also spent three years as a member of the group Santana, and is the father of pop star Sheila E. Pete Escovedo has long been a fixture of the San Francisco music scene, and is known as the patriarch of a talented musical family. He gained attention on the national scene in 2002 when he appeared on the PBS special Austin City Limits.
