What You'll Get
Town Hall Seattle offers an alternative to your usual candy-coated Christmas entertainment with a holiday edition of its popular literary-performance series. Short Stories Live: A Rogue's Christmas features Yuletide stories that are anything but chestnuts, roasted or otherwise, written by several of literature's foremost authors. You'll enjoy the seasonal tale from a very young F. Scott Fitzgerald about a young dandy trying to offload some cash with unexpected results, Kurt Vonnegut's sly "While Mortals Sleep," spotlighting a curmudgeonly scrooge judging a holiday lighting competition, and Muriel Spark's fantastical "The Seraph and the Zambezi," about an angel visiting a Zimbabwean Christmas pageant. These stories will be spun by some of the Northwest's favorite actors, including Kurt Beattie, historian/raconteur Paul Dorpat, Khanh Doan and director Jean Sherrard. The tickets identified in this promotion are made available through Goldstar.
