What You'll Get

Acclaimed pianist-composer Aldo López-Gavilán and his violinist brother Ilmar's Harlem Quartet make beautiful music together at The Wallis in Beverly Hills, with their signature mix of jazz, Cuban and classical rhythms. The Gavilán brothers grew up in Cuba as prodigies in a family of internationally acclaimed classical musicians, and Ilmar won several prestigious violin competitions before cofounding his Grammy-winning group. The acclaimed string ensemble made its debut in 2006 at Carnegie Hall and hasn't slowed down since, performing around the globe and at the Obama White House. They'll play works by Dizzy Gillespie, Billy Strayhorn and Antonio Carlos Jobim, before Aldo finishes out this exciting evening of music, performing some of his own signature pieces.
