What You'll Get
Numerous ecological regulations impact our fish, yet few volunteers are interested in doing the hard work of registering them to vote. Canvass your local waterways with today's Groupon to Gondolas West, located at the Bahia Mar Beach Resort Marina. Choose between the following options:
- For $30, you get a two-hour canal cruise for two (a $60 value).
- For $149, you get a half-day private canal cruise for up to six people (a $360 value).
The endemic Fort Lauderdale explorers at Gondolas West engage and educate tourists and locals alike with scenic tours of the New River. Explore the tree-lined canals in a nearly silent 22-foot electric boat with a maximum of six total passengers, cruising quietly enough to enjoy the lush scenery and potentially spot a manatee or Dan Marino frolicking in the beauty of its natural habitat. With an emphasis on nature, passengers will be able to witness some of the plants, birds, mammals, and more native to Florida’s coasts. Since the boat is electric and smaller than most recreational tank ships, captains can navigate the vessels into rustic areas that regular boats can't reach, enabling patrons to observe wildlife in one of its most raw forms, second only to after-hours at the petting zoo.

About Gondolas West
Aboard Gondolas West’s 22-foot boat, you may notice a strange sound coming from the vessel: silence. That’s because the boat is electric, and its burble-free ride allows captain to get his passengers up close and personal with the wildlife that inhabits Fort Lauderdale’s aquatic ecosystem. His tours explore the narrower waterways around the city, many of which prove too tiny for larger boats and vacationing humpback whales to navigate. Whether a two-hour voyage or private tour, the enthusiastic captain narrates each trek, regaling passengers with city history and information about the wildlife and ecology of the area. In the interest of preserving that delicate ecology, the electric boat produces zero emissions and leaves no footprints, handprints, or paw prints on the environment.
