- C$56 for 30 outdoor go-kart laps and a CRKC membership (C$209.99 value)
Once mandatory membership training is complete, official Canadian Rookie Karting Championship (CRKC) members can strap on their included helmets and racing-suit rentals to pilot karts at speeds of up to 75 km/h. During 30 laps and subsequent activities throughout the season, drivers will compete against up to 12 rival karts, darting across multiple configurations riddled with drift-worthy turns and heart-pumping straightaways.
In order to activate the Groupon, members must attend one of the six mandatory membership training sessions at the track. The sessions take roughly 30 minutes—depending on the line—and members can stop by at any time during the following dates and times:
- Saturday, March 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Sunday, March 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Sunday, March 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Saturday, April 4, from noon to 4 p.m.
- Sunday, April 5, from noon to 4 p.m.
Established more than 40 years ago, Goodwood Kartways covers more than 20 acres of rolling hills with a 0.75-kilometre professional racecourse geared toward first time drivers and advanced roadsters alike. Current owners and professional racers Daniel and Marco Di Leo continue Goodwood Kartways' legacy of mentoring racing stars with the rookie Arrive and Drive program. Participants race on a biweekly schedule, and consistently excelling drivers qualify for scholarships that grant them entry into competitions throughout Ontario and a kart with wheels dipped in gold. A pro shop equips drivers with all necessary parts and accoutrements, a dyno shop inspects engines and ensures their quality performance, and the garage examines and heals broken machinery. Boasting more than 15 years of experience and more than 35 Canadian National titles, Goodwood Kartways personnel supply abundant kart maintenance and aid through trackside support, private group events, storage facilities, and deep-tread massages for weary tires.
