Discover what it was like to live way back in the 1800s on a tour of this beautiful Waltham estate, considered by historians to be the most significant Federal mansion in New England. A guide will lead you through the historic home, once owned by 1809 Massachusetts Governor and U.S. Senator Christopher Gore and his wife Rebecca Amory Payne Gore, and now restored to all its 19th-century glory. You'll get to see the the grand circular staircase, the marble-floored Great Hall, the Office, the Library and Parlors along with the second-floor Guest and Master Chambers, Gentleman's Sitting Room, the Billiard Room and Servant's Quarters. It's a fascinating look back at the very beginnings of our nation.
