Pros - cheap entrance fee, great selection of vendors, like the location (close to skytrain, nice neighbourhood) Cons - you need a bigger venue! we were packed like sardines in that legion and it was so jammed that at some points i really didn't want to stop and look at a table because i was so uncomfortable standing still while people were trying to get by me. i'm not sure that poor old legion can handle that many people at once. more space for me to move = me spending more money on nice handmade stuffs.

Building a miniature ship inside a bottle is impressive, but not as impressive as forging a giant glass shell around the outside of an aircraft carrier. Discover the area’s most inventive artists with today’s Groupon to Got Craft? on Sunday, December 4, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion. Choose from the following options:

  • For $3, you get two adult admissions (a $6 value).
  • For $6, you get four adult admissions (a $12 value).
  • For $9, you get six adult admissions (an $18 value).

A husband-and-wife team brings together more than 50 local artists to showcase their handmade giftables during Got Craft?’s holiday edition indie craft fair. More than 1,000 annual visitors peruse the aisles, picking up handcrafted items from jewellery and clothing to housewares and toys while a DJ spins music. Stuff a stocking or oversized baby sock with Lego-inspired body ornaments from Atomic Broccoli, and spruce up a man in your life with clothing accessories by Belvedere. Wood-burned art panels and fine art prints by cabin + cub revitalize white walls better than living-room paintball tournaments, and Just Potters’ table overflows with ceramic mugs, tableware, garden items, and more kiln-hardened gifts. After getting their craft fill, visitors get their bellies full with gluten-free baked goods by The Gluten Free Epicurean, vegetarian pakoras from Varinicey Pakoras, and handmade cocoa morsels from My Chocolate Tree. Guests can also try their hand at gift creation at the DIY table featuring workshops by Spool of Thread sewing lounge.
