In the spring of 1975, Larry and Cindy Youse decided they wanted to open their own restaurant. After just one hour of searching for the perfect location, the Youses happened upon a timeworn, yet charming, Victorian building in Glendale. They spent the summer fixing it up, and on August 6, they opened the doors to Grand Finale—a name that hinted at the restaurant's soon-to-be-famous desserts.
Decades later, Grand Finale continues to tempt diners with award-winning treats, including cordial pie and chocolate mousse Cincy Magazine once referred to simply as "perfect." But before those sweet, meal-ending triumphs, diners can indulge in classic entrees accented with continental touches. The roasted lamb, for instance, is served with warm mango chutney, and the aged filet mignon is swaddled in bacon like any baby born on a farm. On Sundays, Grand Finale also hosts an award-winning brunch buffet complete with cocktails.
