What You'll Get
Fine fudge is like fine wine: full-flavored, delicately structured, and inadvisable to consume while operating a Segway. Celebrate today's timely holiday, National Fudge Day, with today’s Groupon: for $10, you get two pounds of fudge (a $24 value) at Grandma Ruby’s Sweet Shoppe in Maple Grove. Up to two Groupons may be used per person for in-store purchases. In celebration of the fudgey holiday, Grandma Ruby's Sweet Shoppe will be handing out samples today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tunes at Noon Concert Series in Peavey Plaza as well as from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Maple Grove shop's open house.
Grandma Ruby’s Sweet Shoppe crafts tasty fudge creations that stimulate palates and, when melted, offer a much more delicious way to tar and feather mischievous rapscallions. Armed with the late Grandma Ruby’s secret fudge recipe, sisters Kari Carpenter and Marni Glenn have been concocting tantalizing fudge since 1992—the year fudge was accidentally listed as a bread on the food pyramid, requiring Americans to consume 6–11 servings of it each day. Customers can sample a wide variety of fudge flavors that include cherry cheesecake, maple, rocky road, creamsicle, apple pie, and caramel apple. A two-pound block of smile-inducing goodness is also offered in diabetic-friendly sucrose-free fudge form.
When topological surveys uncovered a richly flowing fudge vein under Maple Grove, a sure-footed band of fudgeteers set to work building a premium confectionarium on-site. Sample nature’s ample, fudgy bounty with today’s Groupon to Grandma Ruby’s Sweet Shoppe.
