South African entertainers headline at this celebration of the country's traditions of wine and food

Identifying different flavor notes in wine is a mark of refinement, like discerning the pedigree of a horse by its taste in jazz. Sip on singular vintages with this Groupon.

The Deal

$90 for general admission for six to the South African Wine Festival (a $180 value)

The eighth annual South African Food & Wine Festival takes place at Grayhaven Winery on Saturday, September 14, and Sunday, September 15, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Ticketholders may choose one of those days to attend. Guests can bring along a blanket or lawn chair and kick back and relax, watching entertainers such as dancer Sduduzo Ka-Mbili, country musician Mirka, and blues-rock musician Tuelo Minah, who performs in English and Tswana. This Groupon does not include food or wine, but they are available to purchase separately.

About Grayhaven Winery & The South African Food & Wine Festival

With names like Voyager, Rendezvous, Trekker, and Sojourn, the wines at Grayhaven Winery LLC evoke a sense of getting away from it all. But their small-batch vintages aren't the only escape route from the everyday Grayhaven opens up. Visitors on estate tours will find Virginia-made goat cheese and baguettes in the tasting room, a child-friendly playground and nature trail, four resident horses, and three dogs with noses for fine wines. The vineyard also hosts three large events every year: the South African Food & Wine Festival, Blues in the Vineyard, and the Owens Creek Oyster Festival.
