What You'll Get
Making your own wine is fun and cost-effective, while making your own time machine can lead to embarrassing confrontations in Louis VXI's gilded water closet. Skip the awkward altercations with today's Groupon to Great Fermentations on Sandwich Street. With more than 30 varieties of wine available, Great Fermentations gives wine enthusiasts the chance to make their own craft wine with a fun and easy process that creates wines worthy of picky palettes at up to two-thirds the cost of store bought wine. Freelance fermenters will receive a kit in their choice of wine varietal that includes the same materials wineries use without the cost of a roof and hassle of spooky crop circles. Customers add kit-included ingredients such as oak chips or grape skins to premium grape juice with a dusting of yeast for fermenting fun. After four to eight weeks of marinating in a lucky bucket, the wine is ready for in-store bottling, labeling, and an elaborate cotillion party. Upgraded wine kits are also available at an additional cost.
Call to confirm winery hours and to set an appointment for bottling the finished wine. New wine bottles are always available or customer can bring in their own bottles at time of bottling their personal wines for home consumption.
Great Fermentation does not yet have many reviews, but customers provide testimonials online about the wine kits:
- We have many things to celebrate in our lives and enjoying a wine with the celebration makes it even more special! – Christine
- To be involved in craft wine making is to be part of the history of wine and all that it embodies. To drink wine is to enjoy history. To make your own wine is to be part of history. – Michael
