About the Great Lakes Technical Diving
Great Lakes Technical Diving is focused on dive training, not selling dive gear. Our vision is to create more confident and competent divers to explore the wonders of the Great Lakes and beyond, providing enriching education and experiences to the students who we work with. While every diver we work with may not have deep diving ambitions, or even plan to dive locally in the Great Lakes, we believe the fundamentals in dive education are critical to success as a diver in whatever environment the diver wants to explore.
Our difference is a focus on small group and private instruction with personalized curriculum that go above and beyond the standards. Your average dive shop wants to sell you gear and education is secondary and will cram as many students in a class as they can. We don't agree with this approach and want to see a separation between gear sales and education for divers - and see a more focused, tailored approach to the needs of divers so they adopt this sport for their entire lives. Confident, comfortable divers are what we believe leads to a better experience and we seek to empower that.
Good to Know
- Experienced instructors with diverse dive experience ready to teach beyond the standards to make you ready to dive.
- A strong focus on safety and creation of safe divers who are confident in the water -so they can enjoy the underwater world.
- Rental equipment available during the courses at a facility that includes a pool and classroom for dive based education.
