Vegetable gloaters and meat gobblers alike can appreciate Green Cuisine's inventive twists on traditional comfort food, with all menu items priced at $6 or less. Try a quesadilla ($6), such as the chipotle pineapple black bean or mushroom varieties, which both ooze with cheddar cheese, or opt for a similarly satisfying sandwich ($6), such as the portobello sub filled with marinated mushrooms, grilled onions and peppers, balsamic vinaigrette, and a double dairy dose of provolone and mozzarella. Sides ($1.50) include healthful tagalongs such as quinoa salad and sweet-potato slaw, and daily specials, such as the broccoli edamame soup ($3), warm weary stomach hearts.
