What You'll Get
From infancy, skin is tasked with protecting the body against summer’s heat, winter’s cold, and Grandmother’s pinch. Keep your outer layer looking awesome with today's Groupon for lotion- or soap-making classes at Green Lotus Organics, held at Bead Here Now in Five Points.
Choose from the following options:
• For $35, you get two cold-process soap-making classes (a $130 value).
• For $35, you get two organic-lotion-making classes (a $70 value).
Green Lotus Organics' in-house artisan employs more than 25 years of soap-making experience and natural and organic ingredients to provide students with attentive hands-on instruction. In the course of two soap-making classes, students are led start-to-finish through the steps of making all-natural soap bars, and, by the end of the final class, make their very own one-pound bar of soap, which they can cutup into slices for easier washing and slipperier sandwiches. The lotion-making course covers the ins and outs of creating liquid skin-food as students create their own batches of lotion, body butter, and a lotion bar. The small class sizes ensure plenty of student-teacher interaction, with instructors offing tips of sage advice and preventing students from accidentally creating the universe's most effective soap, antimatter.
