Formerly one and the same, man and wild now only socialize at nature preserves, petting farms, and awkward extended-family get-togethers. Get back in touch with old friends with today’s Groupon: for $10, you get one admission to Green Meadows Farm in Kissimmee (up to a $22 value). Children age 2 and younger are admitted for free.
Green Meadows Farm has thrilled generations of tomorrow children with living reminders of nature’s still-considerable influence on our cartoon characters. Step away from the city’s nitty-gritty and into an idyllic country setting, where you’ll rub elbows with more than 300 critters, including cows, pigs, sheep, goats, ducks, chickens, turkeys, geese, donkeys, and an asian water buffalo named Elmer. Milk a cow, just like statesmen of old, or take a pony ride as you fantasize about the oat-powered cars of the future. Parents can bring picnic lunches to enjoy with their kids in designated areas or purchase beverages and snacks at Green Meadows Farm's general store. Skip from place to place by the power of your own three feet, or take a train or tractor-drawn hayride through the idyllic farmscape.
Green Meadows Farm owners Bob and Coni Keyes live on site, welcoming visitors to their critter-filled homestead with hands-on guided tours that run continuously between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. every day of the year except Thanksgiving and Christmas. In addition to admission, summer and springtime visitors will each receive a souvenir, which may or may not be an authentic horse feather.
Green Meadows Petting Farm
Bella the milk cow and Elmer the water buffalo live at Green Meadows Farm along with a small village of 300 tame animals, including pigs, sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens, and other barnyard animals. Orlando's family-oriented petting farm lets youngsters ride ponies, milk cows, feed sheep and pot belly pigs, take a hay ride, and ride a train.
During the summer months, Green Meadows Farm is fully shaded with huge oak trees and newly installed water misters, keeping visitors cool and comfortable while enjoying the birthday party shelters or fire engine play area.
