- $14 for a five-visit punch card with each punch good for $5 worth of coffee and cafe food ($25 value)
Two long rows of green terracotta tiles converge above the entrance to Greenline Coffee, hinting at the classic, old-school vibes visitors will find inside. The interior, for its part, doesn't disappoint with industrial pendants that hang down from the tall ceiling and cast a glow over coffee drinkers, diners, and students late into the evening.
The staff here largely consists of locally based young adults (the owner has made it a point to hire residents of Chicago's Woodlawn neighborhood) who craft coffee drinks served alongside sandwiches and sugar waffles made from imported Belgian dough. During the warmer months, visitors can take their food and drinks outside to the sunny patio or stay inside and use the shop's Wi-Fi to research what the clouds look like today.
