Is this a glorified facial with emphasis on fine lines??? The blade confused me. I have no acne.

Hi. No, dermaplaning is different from a facial. A trained aesthetician will use a sterile disposable surgical blade to gently remove the outer layer of dead skin cells and fine vellous hairs (peach fuzz). Dermaplaning is an effective way to increase the absorption of skincare products, reduce acne scarring and improve uneven pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles. The end result is a polished appearance with increased firmness and elasticity.
