The earliest salons were informal gatherings where B-list philosophers gibbered away so they couldn't hear themselves dying of plague. Get an earful of the modern salon’s soothing hair-dryer purrs and scissor chop-chops instead with today's deal at Groove Salon. Choose between the following options:
*For $50, new customers get $100 worth of salon services.
*For $25, returning customers get $50 worth of salon services.
Groove Salon is a Paul Mitchell Focus Salon, which means Groove carries the complete Paul Mitchell brand within its pink and black confines, and national educators are employed in the salon itself. The salon's wide variety of services are performed by three levels of professional stylists, from beginning rising stars to mid-level shining stars to vitriolic high-level rock stars; prices shift accordingly.
Have frayed head threads pruned into display shape with a haircut (starting at $45 for women, $25 for men), or simply sleekify an existing mop on an existing head with a shampoo and blow-dry (starting at $30). All shampoos come with a complimentary neck massage to relieve pain stemming from feeding pets like a mother bird does. Single-process color (color alone starting at $80, color with cut starting at $115) provides a tonal transformation, and partial highlights (starting at $90) only mark the relevant passages. Tresses in need of fancifying for formal events such as a reunion or swanky stuffed-animal birthday party can snag an updo/red-carpet style (starting at $60), and texture tune-ups such as perms or smoothing services are available upon consultation, as are bridal services and extensions. In addition to its mane-managing magnificence, Groove Salon participates in monthly charity events for causes throughout Charlotte, bestowing more than just luscious locks and gratuitous hairflips upon the community.

In 2004 Bradley Sanders traveled around the country educating other stylists on L'Oréal Professional brands and color techniques. The following year he moved to Las Vegas and studied under world-renowned platform artist Robert Cromeans and Ambush Makeover's William Whatley. After learning as much as he could from the experts and their poorly hidden diaries, he moved back to the Southeast and partnered with L'Oréal to open Groove Salon, a Paul Mitchell–focused salon, in 2007. Today, Bradley, who has been accepted into the Paul Mitchell national educator's program, captains a team of talented stylists and colorists inside Groove's hip, redbrick studio.
