The Campaign: Help Provide Care for Homeless Kenyan Youth
If this Grassroots campaign raises $500, then The Temporary Tattoo Project can sponsor one child living at the Flying Kites house in Kenya for three months. The house provides children with nutritious food, private tutors, and places to play, all in a farmhouse at the base of the Aberdare Mountains. Caring for each child costs $2,000–$4,000 per year. Each additional $500 will help sponsor a child for another three months. Those who donate and register their donations by following the Groupon redemption instructions will receive a free temporary tattoo.

About (G-Team) The Temporary Tattoo Project supporting Flying Kites
Lauren Sauma and Robyn Fukumoto collaborated with six expert tattoo artists to create The Temporary Tattoo Project, pairing the artists with abused and homeless children to design a collection of temporary tattoos. The money raised from the sale of the tattoos goes toward sponsoring Flying Kites children.
Flying Kites provides shelter, medical services, and education for homeless and abused children in Kenya. Currently, 27 children live in the home and 70 students learn at its leadership academy, which sits on a farm near the Aberdare Mountains north of Nairobi. Rather than providing basic subsistence for as many youth as possible, Flying Kites aims to provide an exemplary level of care for a handful of students in order to equip them to make a positive contribution to their country. The organization’s outreach program also works with partner homes in disadvantaged areas of Nairobi to improve their ability to care for children through financial and developmental training.
