Q:

May we as donors visit the sites where the Youth Urban Garden and new composting bins are located? Are these donations tax deductible?

D. M.  asked on  Apr 19, 2012

A:

Hi Dwayne - Yes, you can visit the Closer to Earth sites, which are spread around NW OKC (several different community gardens). Please look them up under closertoearth.org and contact Allen at Parleir@cox.net. Donations will go to Transition OKC, a program of Sustainable OKC, which is a 501c3 non-profit organization, and donations will all be used to fund the project for the Closer to Earth compost and youth community gardens. So yes, your donations will be tax-deductible. Thanks for your interest and support!
