Though some data shows that school uniforms can create a sense of equality and improve performance in the classroom, students who cannot afford the proper uniforms may suffer loss in confidence or even miss school as a result. The Assistance League of Greater Cincinnati aims to improve low-income students’ confidence and performance in school by equipping them with the supplies they need.

The organization’s Operation School Bell program supplies low-income kids who are currently participating in the Ohio Free and Reduced Price School Meals program with school-uniform packages that include other necessities such as new jackets, socks, underwear, belts, hygiene supplies, and shoes. Children are fitted for their uniforms at Operation School Bell’s facility, ensuring a proper fit to maximize kids’ confidence in school. This year, the number of low-income schoolchildren that the program serves has risen, and many students requesting assistance must be put on waiting lists for uniform packages.

Join G-Team and donate $10 to supply low-income children with school-uniform packages. If G-Team members raise $450, then Assistance League of Greater Cincinnati can provide a school-uniform package including a uniform, hygiene items, a jacket, underwear, socks, and shoes to six schoolchildren. Each additional $75 raised will fund a school-uniform package for another child.
