Featured by major media outlets such as NBC Nightly News, CNN Heroes, and Today, Back on My Feet (BoMF) helps individuals experiencing homelessness gain self-sufficiency with a dual running and job-training program. Back on My Feet aims to help its participants reach both fitness and career goals through intensive, custom training programs.
For the first 30 days of the program, BoMF members run three days a week at 5:45 a.m. If participants maintain a 90 percent attendance rate, then they can enroll in the Next Steps program, which offers financial aid for six to nine months with resources to help participants move out of shelters, obtain employment, and enroll in job-training courses. BoMF first conducts a comprehensive case assessment with each member, and then tailors goal plans to fit individual needs and skills. Past members of the program have earned new skills through culinary courses, commercial-driver’s-license training, and certification in yoga instruction.
Join G-Team and donate $10 to help provide job training for individuals experiencing homelessness. If G-Team members raise $500, then Back on My Feet can fund a six- to nine-month running and job-training program for one person. Each additional $500 raised will fund job training for another program participant.
Unlike traditional Groupon deals, G-Team campaigns typically don't offer you a "discount" or "savings."
