What You'll Get
According to data compiled by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, approximately 3 percent of children in the United States are born with pediatric deformities and congenital defects such as cleft lip and palate, which affect both physical and emotional health. Fresh Start Surgical Gifts provides reconstructive surgery and related health care for disadvantaged youth to transform lives and encourage well-being.
Occurring at the Fresh Start Clinic on January 14–15, Fresh Start's Surgery Weekend program treats low-income and uninsured patients in need of intense reconstructive surgery. Throughout the weekend, volunteer medical professionals conduct dental treatments, laser treatments, speech therapy, and reconstructive surgeries with consultations and long-term postoperative appointments for approximately 60 infants, children, and teens. Fresh Start still needs help funding surgeries and follow-ups, along with transportation and food for children and their families, with an overall goal of $1,200 to fund all of the medical supplies for the entire weekend free of charge for any child who needs a surgery.
Join G-Team and donate $10 to help provide reconstructive surgeries for children. If G-Team members raise $400, then Fresh Start Surgical Gifts can fund an intense surgery for one child at the Fresh Start Clinic’s Weekend Surgery program. Each additional $10 raised will go toward funding reconstructive surgery for another child.
Unlike traditional Groupon deals, G-Team campaigns typically don't offer you a "discount" or "savings." So "buyer" beware—when you click "Buy" to donate your time or money to a worthwhile G-Team cause, the only discount you may receive is 100 percent off free, priceless karma. Read more about G-Team.
