Minnesota Organization on Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (MOFAS) advocates for the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) community and aims to raise women's awareness of the dangers of drinking while pregnant. Though there is no cure for FASD, the organization aims to prevent further cases of the disorder by spreading the message that consuming any amount of alcohol while pregnant can trigger FASD.
In conjunction with FASD Awareness Month, MOFAS will launch its public-awareness campaign, 049 – Zero Alcohol for Nine Months, to help raise awareness about FASD. Targeting special events such as baby and wedding expos, the campaign will harness the informative and engaging powers of Web 2.0 communications such as social media and videos, as well as promotions and free gifts. The organization will also employ informative print ads and radio PSA ads to spread its message.
Join G-Team and donate $9 to help raise awareness about the dangers of drinking alcohol while pregnant. If G-Team members raise $450, then MOFAS can distribute awareness-raising materials to 450 women as part of its 049 – Zero Alcohol for Nine Months campaign. Each additional donation will provide informative materials for nine more women.
Unlike traditional Groupon deals, G-Team campaigns typically don't offer you a "discount" or "savings." So "buyer" beware—when you click "Buy" to donate your time or money to a worthwhile G-Team cause, the only discount you may receive is 100% off free, priceless karma. Read more about G-Team.
